Tuesday at Fort Dent

Hey All,

For the game tommorrow, Tuesday the 19th, we are back at Fort Dent at 5:00; and we need 8 people to sign up to make this happen. Sign up on the comments below. Bring a light and dark shirt, cleats, and water. I will call game on by 3:00 or so, so keep a look out for that. We are going to be on the grass fields, field 8. See you all there!

Dear Friends Who Play (or used to play) Ultimate:

Every year Seattle sends at least 3 teams (Open, Girls, Mixed) to USA Ultimate's Youth Club Championships in Blaine, MN. In the last few years the demographics of the participants has changed as ultimate has become more popular in South Seattle. What used to be a popular private school sport is now hugely popular in schools where the majority of kids are on free/reduced lunches and are from communities of color (Franklin HS - where I coach - is in the south end).

The organization that runs all this locally grants scholarships each year, but for the last 3 years the total need has been greater than the dollars available.

Many of the kids I coach at Franklin have made one of the 3 teams but still lack funds to go. If you could find it in your hearts (and wallets) to donate to DiscNW for YCC funding I'd be super appreciative.

Any amount helps, and since DiscNW is a registered 501(c)(3), your donation is tax deductible!
